Vice President of Sales to lead the commercial activities in the Americas region.

A headquartered and publicly listed chemical company in India, with subsidiaries in Malaysia, the Netherlands and Singapore, is one of the worlds’ leading producers of specialty food ingredients is seeking a USA based Vice President of Sales and this role will be responsible for the profitable sales from this facility, from start-up to future plant expansions.
Reporting to the CEO of the Americas, the VP of Sales will lead and manage all commercial activities within the region. The position will develop a team of sales professionals and expand the business with existing and new accounts using a customer-centered mindset. The VP of Sales will work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Product Management and Finance to meet customer requirements while balancing the company’s strategic goals.
This person will be responsible for supervising the activities of direct and channel sales representatives and attaining sales objectives for the region. He/she will manage a team of sales representatives responsible for revenue generated and will develop and oversee the administration of sales policies and programs to meet sales and profit goals for the region. The person will serve as a role model / mentor to others and provide coaching to account representatives.
Qualifications
- A university degree in chemical engineering or a related STEM discipline
- Minimum 15 years of international commercial experience in the chemical industry, notably in the food ingredients sector
- 5 + years of Sales Management experience preferably selling both commodity and specialty products and managing distributors
- Track record in leading teams and projects
- Experience working both in a multi-national company environment and smaller “start-up” companies, is highly preferred.
- Results driven, risk friendly, energetic, business-minded and have a solid knowledge of a business P&L.
Must be currently authorized to work in the USA.
