Quality Assurance/SQF Coordinator

Our client is hiring for a QA/SQF Coordinator in their McCarran Nevada facility. The QA/SQF Coordinator will oversee quality assurance and ensure compliance under FDA, USDA organic, HACCP, GMP, and Third Party auditing standards. Job duties will be to maintain food safety policies and procedures to meet SQF standards, and further develop employee training and compliance in dietary supplement sterilization processes. The SQF Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of food safety, including but not limited to pre-requisite programs, process documentation, process control, allergen control, sanitation control, supply chain control, conducting mock recall audits, and investigating and tracking customer quality complaints. The SQF Coordinator must understand concepts of Hazard Analysis and HACCP plans. The SQF Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness and upkeep in line with SQF standards. The SQF Coordinator will be based in the NV facility and will liaison with QA management in the NJ facility.

Job Requirements: Candidates must have a high school diploma. Bachelor's Degree in a food science preferred, or relevant job experience and training. SQF Practitioner and HACCP Training and Certification is recommended or must be obtained within 3 months of starting the position. FSMA experience is a must. Experience as a PCQI is preferred. Previous experience in an SQF audit is preferred. Experience in manufacturing environments is required, as well as knowledge of and experience in sanitation systems. Experience in audit environments, as well as conducting internal audits, inspections, and traceability audits is required. 3 Years of experience in a food safety or QA position is required. Ideal candidate will be computer literate, will have strong communication skills, and have strong organization and record keeping. The ideal candidate will also be quick thinking and will work well under pressure. Standing for long periods of time may be necessary, as well as walking, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
