Senior Account Manager for Color and Ingredient Sales--Midwest Region


As a Senior Account Manager Ingredient Sales, you will develop and execute sales plans to grow the client's color and ingredients business. This includes managing complex multinational accounts as well as developing new distribution channels. You own the technical sales process for accounts, from identification of demand to presentation of solution and closing of sales. Your understanding of the color market, its key players, and overall market trends will help you to identify new opportunities to grow your territory. The territory is the Midwest.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, develop and convert sales opportunities.

  • Maintain and develop existing sales.

  • Analyze customer base and prioritize accounts to meet the client's sales strategy.

  • Engage with distributors/broker and suppliers, keeping a good understanding of the color market and trends.

  • Develop go to market plans for new target segments or territories.

  • Identify potential new domestic/international distribution partners.

What You Need

  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of sales or experience in technical ingredient sales or product/application development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in technical ingredient sales or application development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility;

  • Required to travel by air and car to perform job duties.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Master’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Processing, Food Science or Animal Science, plus 5 year of experience in technical ingredient sales or application development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Experience completing assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.

Compensation

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $124,600 - $150,000
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
